Four decks submitted already!
This round is really hard.
Up to 6!
is that coz talon trooper is weighing so heavy on the meta game?

I had to change my mind about my deck for this round when I realised it could only draw with talon trooper.
I was going to run with a deck that could only draw with talon trooper, but then I came to my senses.

Right, I think we can run it with six.
Here goes ...
[Thom]
Mox Jet
Dark Ritual
Pox
Nether Spirit
[Louis]
Innocent Blood
Unmask
Badlands
Goblin Fireslinger
[Simon]
Leyline of Anticipation
Mox Jet
Thoughtseize
Chronomaton
[Kieran]
Gemstone Caverns
Mox Sapphire
Curfew
Memnite
[Ross]
Saprazzan Skerry
Cavern of Souls
Talon Trooper
Propaganda
[Tom]
Foil
Burning Inquiry
Volcanic Island
Memnite
Tom 2 - 0 Ross
If Ross ever plays a land, Burning Inquiry take the rest of his cards. Memnite beats.
Tom 2 - 0 Kieran
Foil Memnite discarding everything except Memnite. Memnite beats.
Tom 2 - 0 Simon
Foil Mox Jet discarding everything except Memnite. Memnite beats.
Tom 1 - 1 Louis
On the play Tom makes Memnite and casts Burning Inquiry leaving Louis with a useless hand.
On the draw Louis Unmasks planning to take Foil. Whether Tom Foils it or not Goblin Fireslinger then outraces Memnite by 1 point of life.
Tom 2 - 0 Thom
Foil Mox Jet. Kill with Memnite. Never Burning Inquiry!
Ross 2 - 0 Kieran
Talon Trooper outraces Memnite despite strategic use of Curfew.
Ross 0 - 2 Simon
Thoughtseize takes Propaganda. Chronomaton charges up to at least 3/3 then attacks each turn and wins the race.
Ross 0 - 2 Louis
Innocent Blood kills Talon Trooper. Fireslinger does not need to attack to win.
Ross 0 - 2 Thom
Pox destroys a (crucial) land. Nether Spirit beats down.
Kieran 0 - 2 Simon
Turn 0 Thoughtseize takes Memnite and Chronamoton is able to beat down.
Kieran 0 - 2 Louis
Innocent Blood kills Memnite. Fireslinger takes it down.
Kieran 0 - 0
Curfew means that Nether Spirit can only be played once whether that is through Dark Ritual or Pox/graveyard - once it is bounced it isn't coming back. Thom therefore holds Pox until Memnite is played and kills it to ensure the draw.
Simon 2 - 0 Louis
On the play or draw Simon turn 0 Thoughtseizes taking Innocent Blood then makes Chronomaton and outraces Goblin Fireslinger.
Simon 2 - 0 Thom
Turn 0 Thoughtseize taking Mox Jet or Dark Ritual means Thom can never resolve anything.
Louis 1 - 1 Thom
Unmask taking Mox Jet or Dark Ritual wins for Louis on the play.
On the draw Thom casts Dark Ritual into Nether Spirit. Innocent Blood kills it once but it comes back the following upkeep and still outraces Fireslinger.
Tom 13 ... 199 points of damage with Memnite!
Simon 12
Louis 8
Thom 5
Ross 3 !!! First victory for Talon Trooper !!!
Kieran 1
Disruption and 1/1's prevails this time it seems :P I went Fireslinger to beat Maze of Ith, but Chronomaton would've given me a draw against Simon :(
Wow Burning Inquiry is brutal, nice find!
Not many free counters left now.
I fail at metagaming. The deck I switched from because it couldn't beat talon trooper would have been a better choice.
