Magic: the Gathering in the UK

Baker's bear deck gets another mention on the internet.

According to Chas Andres in yesterday's article:

'Of course, the greatest Bear-related feat belongs to Thomas David Baker, whose Bear deck broke Vintage in half at worlds 2009.'

How my video of it didn't win the competition I'll never know (Though I suspect nepotism/barning).

this is the best quote -

"he topdecked like a master when all I was seeing were Forests and Bears"

I wonder what other awesome decks we could make, I was thinking of Vanilla:

8 vanilla 1/1s for 1

8 vanilla 2/2s for 2

8 vanilla 3/3s for 3

etc...

There is probably a sensible progression you can use to tweak the quantities of cards, and I imagine green is the only colour you could do it in.

Was good to read Tom's story again, and glad to see it has the wide readership that it deserves!

Simon I like your idea, but part of the appeal of "36 Bears" is it's connotations of Vintage Hate Bears, despite actually just being 36 "Creature Type - Bear"s!

Awesome.
