Magic: the Gathering in the UK

come on then kiddies, lets have everyones thoughs on ROE

what do we think of ROE limited.  good decks good cards etc.  i have had some success with a black blue level up deck - mainly black levelers and a steam vents deck (although the giddeon guy propbably won me most things).  i cant really work out what red is doing other than lots of removal. i hope this clear and precise post will lead to a fruitful discussion.

Went 3-0 with a blue-green deck on Friday, with 3 Aura gnarlid and a bunch of totem armours. Narcolepsy is a beast, and blue fliers in general very good. Actually found Aura finesse to be quite playable in the deck, as you can move around totem armours, narcolepsies and domestication to where they're needed.
So far I've not seen any ramp > eldrazi strat that actually works. Levellers are universally good, aside from maybe that white one that gets vigilance and a huge ass.

Good article on CF that goes into a fair bit of depth:

so after playing the craziest draft deck of my life at the gpt on saturday I'll throw my 10p in, I drafted the eldrazi deck with anything that produced mana and big guys, now I got quite lucky with the rares that were passed, I didn't windmill any of my rares but was passed the following awakaning zone, disaster radious, Hellion Eruption, emrakul, magmaw and kozilek. Now this seems very fortunate but I was ignoring good cards and picking random stuff such as passed the red pinger and took the land searcher instead. The deck was completely nuts, might I say that the mvp was the green instant common that gains life equal to casting cost of a guy in your hand, I gained 10 twice and 15 twice, the deck was an absolute riot to play as there was very little early game except get mana on the board then just hit them hard, in the final he swung in for lethal and I gained 15, next turn made 9 4/4's and he scooped.
as far as I can see if you are willing to sacrifice some better cards you can get your stratergy to work, I think so far I have seen work walls, level up guys, rg ramp eldrazi and rb removal guys
I've done two drafts so far, one was a Mono Black deck with the crazy vampire that kills stuff, and another one was a green-white deck with lots of totem armour (plus aura gnarlid and that mini-Uril/Enchantress in white).
Also, a friend of mind drafted Training Ground (I think, the blue enchantment that reduces the cost of activated abilities), which is really good with level up dudes.
