Original Post:

A while ago I assembled the cards for a Pauper cube on MTGO.

It's where Armadillo Cloak meets Agony Warp and Izzet Signets power out Ninja of the Deep Hours. It should be quite fun.

I have some software for doing a draft through your browser but it's not finished and I don't have time to work on it now. So let's just do a low tech draft. I'll send you an email with a list of cards in your first booster. You remove the card you want and forward the email on to the person specified. It'll probably take a few days to complete the draft but who cares. You're on the honor system not to look ahead if packs queue up for you (as they surely will).

Then you email me the complete list of cards you drafted and I transfer them (temporarily!) to your MTGO account to play the games.

It's a bit manual, but I think it would be cool. And if it's that good, I'll work on the browser-based drafter for future runs.

If you want to draft, reply with your MTGO nick to this thread.

From this I draw the conclusion that all 8 boosters are with Glenn (I've passed him them all), or I have got his email address wrong.

Wake up Glenn!
I've just sent them on.
Oh man, I was sure I was going to wake up to 8 boosters and sending out Booster 3.

Next time I'm screening participants for check-your-email-every-10-minutes nerdery!

Or we use the realtime drafter.
unsurprisingly people have lives!!!!!
If you wanted a losers pauper draft you really should have mentioned it
you people are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO impatient
all the packs are with me. i have passed a few to ben but will be doing the rest tommorow sometime - so don't start complaining!

Yeah, we'll be screening those people out of the next run :)

OK, this is just perverse. You're sending on SOME of the boosters??? How epic is your picking process? Are you interviewing all the candidates at length and running background checks??!
how long is it going to take us to play all the games? :S
Oh, we should be done by 2011.

lol hopefully the next one will be done on your drafting software, and should therefore only take a few mins to draft and then we play games on MODO - all in one evening or so.
Amar a couple of mins? It takes like half an hour to draft down the club.

So for this draft, we want to do 3 swiss rounds, or round robin and all play all, as the greater skill tester.
I was thinking Swiss. But now the draft has been so epic I wonder if round robin (best of 3 not best of 1) is better because (a) it matches the epic-ness of the draft and (b) you are more likely to be able to find a game (initially).

Are you guys up for mega-round-robin?
I'd prefer round robin with best of 3s

Firstly, like paul says, a draft, even on computer, will take about 25 mins- got to get everyone together and doing it all at once.
Secondly- isn't the big advantage of this that we don't have to play the matches right after drafting, we can let them take a few days so that we can all fit it around other things?
