Demonic Tutor

Magic: the Gathering in the UK

I felt this was a big enough feature to announce it on a new thread.  Draft cubes here:

Ben's Cube: http://www.cubetutor.com/draft/1
Simon's Cube: http://www.cubetutor.com/draft/5
Tom's Cube: http://www.cubetutor.com/draft/7
Kieran's Cube: http://www.cubetutor.com/draft/12

You can pick cards and you'll see them on the right as you do so.  You're actually playing againt 7 bot drafters who basically just force two colours each and take the occasional artifact/land.  Each colour will be drafted by at most 3 bot drafters so it kinda mimics what should end up happening in a real draft.  They pick at random a card from their colours.

As usual only minimal testing has been performed, please do report any bugs and let me know what you think!

Thanks in no small part to a tweet by Dan, CubeTutor is now buzzing with around 15 people managing their cubes on there and more coming by the hour!

Thanks a lot Dan :)

I'm ready to put this out there now so if anyone has a contact or means to promote it, then please do send out the video.

So many new drafts to try. It's a shame you can't actually play with your deck - that's your next task Ben!

Ben, looks like you are missing some other cards people are trying to add:

Commander cards

Un Cards

Planechase cards (e.g Beetleback Chief)

Also I think people are struggling with adding split cards

Yep, split cards are not intuitive, you have to type a // so "Fire //" for Fire/Ice.  I will be adding all of those other sets ASAP.   Here is the MTGSalvation thread where I'm certainly getting a lot of feedback!

Hey Ben, I'm glad you don't mind, and guess it was obvious from the fact you made a video, but sorry for not checking you were ready for non-friend users before sending people to it.

Not at all Dan, it was awesome!  Coincided well timing wise with the thread I put up on Salvation.  Today has been a bit nuts, I've now got A LOT of stuff to do...

One thing I will say from my experience dealing with users on bragster and Challengers - don't add anything until you've had multiple independent requests - the things one person views as "must-have" features can be unreasonable or just insane.

EDIT: of course, you obviously know this from speaking to product managers at your work!

The amount of feedback Ive received has been incredible, I have no idea how Im going to hold down a full time job, have a semblance of a life and keep even 10% of these people happy...

There are now too many cube lists up there to find them in the Cube Index drop down. Maybe a link to an index page when you click it?  #firstworldproblems

Haha yeah, it's currently number 2 on my todo list.  Check out the first post on my dev blog:

Maybe a home page that explains what the site is? rather than just seeing your cube there
