I know what you mean Ben, but at the same time something casual and a bit different like this is nice now and then. Playing tier 1 decks in high-rel tournaments can be stressful, and it's good to have a break from that.
Also this, much like EDH, allows you to use more of your cards! They're made to be played with, not stuffed away in folders/boxes. I know i'm already looking through my time spiral commons box to find things for a UWB singleton control deck!
I'm defo up for a bit of this when you get back Tom, if enough people are keen. Would be a good sunday afternoon activity to break up testing etc.
On that front, i hope we'll get together to test for nats/nats qs much as we did last year? It was really enjoyable, even if some of us did end up playing bad decks! :P
I quite like this - it's interesting, and it lets me make a deck with 100 commons in it that still has a chance against the rest of the field. Could actually be worth trying out...
