Magic: the Gathering in the UK

My name is Aaron Dos Remedios.  I am a new member of this group and have introduced myself in my GP Paris thread.

Are people here planning to attend the PTQs in Reading and Nottingham on Feb. 19-20?  I have a work holiday the next week and am looking to play some magic.

Unfortunately, I do need a deck to play and (in the case of Nottingham) a ride to the PTQ.  I am open to playing mostly anything, have a small extended collection from which I in turn am willing to lend cards, and would definitely be willing to pay my share of a ride.

(I don't expect people who don't know me to come to my aid, so this is mostly for the people who I've already had the pleasure to introduce myself although I do hope to become more integrated into the community in the next little while)

Hi Aaron,

Should be a bunch of us going to the Reading PTQ, get train from Paddington I imagine - someone'll put a thread up on here closer to the time.

Thanks for the heads up.  I live in Langley, which I believe that train passes on the way up.

And to do just that...

The PTQ is at the Penta Hotel, which is ~5 mins from the town centre and Eclectic Games.  Info here: http://www.pentahotels.com/en/reading/

I believe it's doors open 10 for an 11am start.

So then - who is going Saturday? Anyone going to be at TGC tomorrow night and want to test?
I will be there on Friday if you want to test then.  I don't have a deck though...still hoping to borrow one from somebody for the PTQ (although again I'd understand if it doesn't work out)
Is this a confirmed start time?  I haven't been able to find this type of information anywhere.  Also, what is the entry fee?  If anyone knows these things, then it would be very helpful!

An update:

It is actually doors open 0930.  Registration runs until 1030 and the player's meeting / R1 will start at 11.

I am the Head Judge so this is confirmed ;)

David - any pre-registration capability? Is there a printable decklist sheet anywhere as well?
