See you all on Saturday!!!

this is going to be so sick

we should do more stuff like this..

i think i am going to contribute additional foil prizes to this. they probably won't be big expensive foils but they will be solid multi-format playable foils (bojuka bog, nihil spellbomb, negate, etc). i like the idea of foils as prizes and i really like the idea of regular cubing, so i just want to contribute!

You're a god damn legend Phil!

I have a foil Teferi that I can contribute.

You sir, are also a god damn legend!!!

Perhaps we could start a 'donations prize pool' that we can use to 'fund' prizes for Cube events?

I'd be happy to donate many sweet foils of low-ish value.

i can chip a foil:

full art bolt,  full art day, sculler

I'm totally going to come and rail this. I love discussing cube, and I haven't seen people in time. Plus, drunken shenanigans afterwards right?

ps if a back-up list is being formulated with trusties, i'm cool with drafting my CU (98.5% foil) cube alongside the main event with anyone who isn't battling the ME.

I have one of those foil full art Cryptic Commands that I can put in. I'd better not win it back though...

Guys, I just want to say that I'm blown away by your generosity and support for this event. It's weird, because I feel like I've come full circle - 10 years ago in South Africa we didn't have a tournament scene, as it was mostly impossible for a South African to afford the costs of 'going pro' - thus, casual ruled the scene.

We had epic casual events like this when all players would come together to enjoy the game of Magic for what it actually is - arguably the most brilliantly crafted game of our generation. It warms my heart to see this community coming together for the good of the game, putting politics and feelings aside.

Let's make this an event the magic world will envy and hopefully learn from!

Also, does anybody have a flipcam/good video camera they're willing to lend me for the afternoon so I can get some excellent coverage of the games and draft?

Currently I'll be filming with one 'good' camera on a tripod (Sony Nex-5) and 2 small digital cameras (12MP's but they still suck).

Would really help me make EPIC coverage vids if I could get a hold of 2 more decent cameras for the day.
