We are doing this in our Multiverse app:
(Old shared Google spreadsheet for this is here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ag7TtjWsLhYkdHBBUHF4RG... )
Channel Fireball just did Top 8 Mechanics:
* Retrace
* Dredge
* Landfall (not for attacking like Steppe Lynx - Grazing Gladehart and Roil Elemental style)
* Scry
* Flashback
* Kicker
* Flying
* Cycling

I wonder if we could use that, or some of that, as the basis of You Make the Set 5. I know that some of you were keen on Landfall.
Not sure when we would play it out but some time in late May probably?

Time to fire up Cockatrice and see how these things actually play!
Definitely! I've had Abortionist + Graveshade in two Sealed pools now. It's so awesome! I've made mill and looting work but I can't make lifegain happen despite getting Chaplain-General, Meditation and Vigorous Studay in a pool.
How are we going to coordinate? Facebook (thomasdavidbaker), Skype (bakert99), Yahoo! IM (sleague.geo), GTalk (bakert@gmail.com) or DT chat?? I've got a meeting at 7 and dinner out after that unfortunately but would like to get a game in at some point!
Hah! The only one of those I have right now is DT Chat!
how do you do the cockatrce thing?
Go here:
http://cockatrice.de/index.php?a=download
Download whichever version you need. Once installed you'll need to follow the instructions on the Cockatrice page on the Multiverse.
When you then load Cockatrice go into deck editor and build your deck (we have done from a sealed pool).
Then connect with Cokatrice, just on the default server. Kieran found me on there and just setup a game. My nick is "Torq", and Kieran's is "Ksym"

awesome - got it working - now to build a deck
Corrupt Seer Face Off!
v1: Pay 2 life: Exile the top card of your library
v2: Pay 2 life: Put the top card of your library on the bottom of your library.
Other cards that exile cards from libraries: The Bad Touch, Mindshock.
Other cards that put cards on the bottom of libraries: Deepwater Loon, Dalgath Fateseer, Dark Meddler, Enfeebled Seer, Brutalizer Exarch.
I say we go with v2. The other two exilers are designed as hosers for top-of-library cards. That's not the case here.
Anyone want to argue it the other way?
Much as I'd love to argue with Baker, Version 2 is probably a better fit because it triggers 'put into graveyard' abilities.
Something I definitely noticed from trying to build sealed pools is how many 2/2s for 2, 2/1s for 2 or 2/2s for 3 there are about the place. Very few common creatures have 3 or more power, and of those quite a few also die to a 2/2 (like limited all-star Bone Beast). Maybe some bigger creatures are required?
defo bigger creatures - need to be able to threaten 4/5 damage at common even if its for 5 mana
cards like rotten fensnake play an important role - even though they can be completely rubbish they also threaten a lot of damage and keep decks 'honest' - meaning you cant just build a trixy trixy deck if you cant block a 5/1
Something that could help with this is when you use the sealed facilty you get creature power breakdown
