Magic: the Gathering in the UK

GP London is really close. It's all terribly exciting. Like a sensible person, I've taken Friday off to get maximum value out of the weekend, but the actual Friday events don't look that great. I'm fairly certain there's a limit to how many single elimination LCQs at £30 I really want to do. And that limit is very close to zero. So who's up for just spending most of that day cubing and leaving the serious events for Saturday?
Also, since I've never done one of those Rich Hagon events, I'd be interested to hear if they're actually any good. How bad can they possibly be?

think that's on Sat, yes it is on the Friday event card but the start time is under the Sat slot

It is def on Friday night - Rich Hagon is not playing in the silly football match because he is doing his gameshow.

What time are people thinking of getting there to cube?

it is defo on Friday but there event thing is pants, also the gameshow is not fun if Rob Elkin is playing.

I'll be there from noon.

I checked with Glen White and he confirmed doors open at 12:00, but GP registration is only open from 14:00.

Definitely aiming to be there by 12, then cubing all afternoon until time for beer & trivia in the evening. Get up hungover the next day, go 0-3 drop, then wonder what to do for the rest of the weekend...

Aim high man 1-3 drop, I am predicting my usual 6-2 going into the last round with a win and in, I have now managed this in the last 3 GP's and also I managed it at a WOW DMF, I don't handle pressure well

wouldn't know what to do if i reach day 2 tbh! 8am start with the DLR being down - don't think the tube opens early enough for me to get there ^^ has to be a day 1 drop.

not sure if it wont be better just going for the morning side events and some casual chaos drafts... ah well we shall see.

i'll be there a bit later in the day and will bring a cube as wellin case we're a bit short on them (not updated RTR-GC yet...)

You'll just have to sleep at the venue.

hadn't really thought about how crazy an 8am start Sunday is gonna be some folks missing that one me thinks
