So then folks, thought I would start a thread about the Dam.

1st off I'm flying out Wednesday eve from Gatwick, to the others flying out are we meeting before check-in or in the bar afterwards?

2nd to everyone who is out there Wednesday does anyone know where a decent place to meet up either Wednesday eve or Thursday? 

 

I have never been so haven't a clue, but thought that if we could sort out a decent place for people to meet that would make things easier for everyone

I've been a few times - I would say meeting people near Centraal Station on Wed eve would be a good idea. There are a few coffee shops and bars around there

What's the name/address of your hostel, Glenn?

I've been twice before so know a few places to eat/drink near where we are staying. What time do you get in? If not too late we can grab dinner together, if later we'll have some drinks?

Sadly i'm not proposing a candlelit dinner for two in a swanky French restaurant, but a massive beer-fuelled group Chinese/Indian

as my phone is terrible at getting a network when abroad I think we might need to check that you have McLovetts and Rebecca's numbers just in case.

From what I understand it's about a 10 min journey into the central part which isn't to bad really

The thing is Amsterdam is deceptivley small and most places are easy to get to either walking or getting the tram.

I'm in at about 8am on Thursday

Cool, well ring us when you're checked into your ho(s)tel if you wanna meet up around lunchtime or something before going to the LCQ.
