I am 92.7% up for this just making final arrangements for where I am going to be this weekend.  Happy to play with Simon's cube.  I seem to remember crushing hard with the much-maligned BW aggro last time and having fun.  I'll bring something from graveyard/teachings/best-of-draft cube as something to do later on.  Or maybe I will go crazy and proxy up a bunch of Standard decks seeing as the WMCQs are looming.

I see 5 of us up for Sunday.  Would be good to make that 8 or more.  Anyone else going to come out of the woodwork?  Might be worth asking Martin Dingler, Jo Saxton, Dan Royde or any of the others that have shown up at the Oak before?

Anyone playing in the charity sealed on Saturday?  Anyone know what charity it is for?

I think the Charity sealed is on the 26th?

It is in honor of Martyn Hampson who used to play with the "old codgers" on a Tuesday night. He died of cancer last year, and if I remember correctly all proceeds are going to the hospice that looked after him.

This was originally held on the August bank holiday weekend, so not sure why it got moved much earlier in the year. I'm guessing something will still happen that weekend.

And there's always the old YMTD set - for people who think cube cards are underpowered....

You are correct the charity thing is on the 26th.  Hmm ... now cubing in Penderel's Oak is my only call to London and I am invited to a birthday party up here on Saturday night.  Sunday morning train ride is obviously the solution???!!!

Does anyone want to do anything Saturday (tomorrow) daytime as the charity sealed is no longer on?
