I like it, although 3 G is seriously mono green only, if anything.

With the amount of good lands there are also lotus cobra, bop etc. around in standard I don't think the 3G will be a problem.
If there is a deck that has this guy in it by the time nats comes around I may have to leabe U/B control behind and play that. This card looks awesome!

Bear in mind that if you do so immediately it kills Garruk, and something like Momentous Fall is better for that effect, no?

You are assuming that as soon as everyone plays Garruk they will activate his second ability straight away.

no you bust out a 3/3 then next turn draw at least 3 cards, his 2nd ability is gonna be nuts in the bgd

The art for this (and chandra/jace) was released a while ago - so people were just shopping fake cards using it.
