Passport Witness

Hi all,

The time has come to renew my passport and I need to have it, and a photograph witnessed. There is a fairly strict list of people who are allowed to be a witness, but I'm pretty sure the club has a few of them:

police officer / member of clergy / medical doctor / lawyer / bank manager / notary public / teacher

So if you are one of the listed proffesions, will be at the club on Tuesday night, and would like to help, I'm looking for a witness. I have some suitably awful pictures of me to go with it.

Pretty sure one of the tuesday guys is a doctor, Ross Miles is a teacher, and Ben Twitchen is a solicitor.

I renewed my passport recently but didn't need a witness - I was told that was only for the original application and not for renewals. Are you sure you need one?

Yeah, as far as I remember you only need a new photograph witnessed if your appearance has 'substantially changed' from your last one, might want to check.

Hmm, maybe the Irish passport process is slightly different, section 9 looks pretty mandatory to me...
