Honestly I only think Skullclamp should be banned, you could argue for Jace and Stoneforge, but there is no way Ponder, Preordain, Wild Nacatl, Cloudpost, Valakut etc should be banned.

There is more to be gained from the simplicity of using the actual banned list than there is to be gained from inventing our own banned list so that every 9 games someone can Hexmage-Depths their opponent to death or Scapeshift from a losing position to win the game. Off the top of my head I would guess that everything except Jitte, Skullclamp, Jace2 and Mystic could be unbanned without pissing me off. But why bother finding out? If we want to play with the maximum cards we could play with the Vintage banned list. This is a different thing.

And all crying is banned!

i did one of these once [vintage] and ended up with a really sick draw go deck. turn one sapphire, factory, standstill is p ridiculous in constructed let alone limited :D. the guy on the first wheel went for Survival and Genesis or something like that and had a pretty sweet FEB deck - naturally no-one else wanted to hatedraft witnesses or karmic guides or whathaveyou.

i don't know how interesting modern rotisserie would be though - won't aggro just be really bad? seems like the kind of format where i would first pick vedalken shackles
