Magic: the Gathering in the UK

We listen to this radio station at work and I thought why not give it a try.

I know absoloutly 0 about football, lets see how I do.

Anyone else want to give it a go? We could start a mini league and see if you can do better than someone who knows nothing about the game.

already playing on tom's one just for fun. last year i won the games club competition!

there are a load of different fantasy football leagues with money prizes, but you won't win any of them, you're better off buying lottery tickets.
Someone has to win. Odds on winning the lottery is 14 million to 1. I would assume a competition like this probably wouldnt even get more than 1 million players. Seems like better odds.
link?
but the lottery is pure chance, whereas there is actually a surprising amount of skill (or perhaps knowledge is a better word) required for fantasy football

If anyone wants to join my game you have about 24 hours left before the end of the first round of the auctions. Mail me at bakert@gmail.com today if you want in.

Fantasy Football is a disgusting abortion of a game. Everyone always ends up with a very similar team since they usually give you a ludicrously generous budget with which to buy your team. Tom's version is awesome, though, because the auction for the players at the start means you can never be sure if you'll get the players you want and you're rewarded for getting a less well known player on the cheap. You can't win any money though. Sort it out, Tom!
Agree, this is why i won't play another game after playing Tom's and the Fifa world cup one, without the auctions it's nowhere near as good.

That being said, not sure my bids for round 1 are in anyway good...

Auction sounds like a good idea, as i know nothing about football this would be terrible for me though.

Perhaps after player of the year we could do a fantasy pro tour? Each bid on players and get points for how well they do in the year or season.
Also doing auction makes it like For Sale.

BEST GAME EVER!!

P.S How about those For Sale for money side events at Nats?
As long as it's teams of 3, me and 2 other FS pros against random scrubs
