Ok so im getting married in Rarotonga (cook islands) on the 26th of November.

 

If anyone can afford it (its not cheap, but its a nice place) they are welcome to come.

Firstly, Congratulations! Who is the lucky girl?

Would love to come, unfortunately will be back in England for studies next Autumn and no longer in China.... Not sure if it will be possible for me to make it given the finances of a phd student... will do some checking on Kayak this evening. What is the best route you recommend?

Congrats also, and obviously Hana and I would love to come, but picking the place literally as far away and most expensive to get to from the UK doesn't help! Guess we'll have to start playing the lotto and get lucky then...

Hey Pete, you have been away so long you didnt meet her. I met Estelle while she was in the UK, she is from NZ thats why I moved here.

Yeah it is pretty far. Prob looking at about £1,000 return for flights from the UK. You have to get to NZ first I think then get another flight to Rarotonga.

We picked there cause its really nice and a beach wedding will be cool. I figure thats its probably gonna be too expensive for most people though.

I will try and get back to London in a few years time. I really miss the drinking and playing magic. I would like to come back one xmas for the keith loveys and the iron man, not sure I could handle how cold it is now.

Cheapest flights I found were £1778 return on Kayak. Youch!

Word of advice from a married man - do not try to have any say in the organization of your wedding.  Someone tried to tell me that and I ignored them.  Misplay.
