Time Sieve in Extended?!

In the spirit of janky Tier 3 decks, could Time Sieve be any good in Extended?

There are a couple of spicey cards (aside from the obvobv cards) that are up for consideration:

Chrome Mox
Terrarion
Chalice of the void
walking archive
Signets
Mana leak / Remand / Delay
Cryptic Command
Thirst for Knowledge
Engineered Explosives
Academy Ruins (the spice!)
Timestop

Also, Ethersworn Cannonist seems some good.

The core cards for the combo are:

Time Sieve
Open the Vaults
Time Warp
Tezzerret
Kaleidostone & Elsewhere flask
Howling Mine

I can't justify why the deck would be good in Extended, other than people wouldn't know WTF you were doing playing with this jank, and might lose to it.

Is this just a really bad dream?

Make sword
Sac the sword. Make a thopter. gain 1. Sword returns to play equipping thopter.
Sac the sword. Make a thopter. gain 1. Sword returns to play equipping thopter.

repeat for each mana you have. Win eventually.
