Did no one else see this and just think, "okay, fair enough"?
Yeah, me..
I think it's a really cool card.

The ability to get a massive beater out and attack attack attack until your opponent is on -4 and then bounce him is fun but as discussed probably not overpowered. It's a pretty severe drawback with the inevitable comparison to Baneslayer which costs 1 more, is probably a better creature and has no drawback. And it even has protection from this card. (As an aside, more and more and more I am praying to the Gods that somehow Baneslayer is not in M11 even though I pretty much know for a fact that it is.)

Could you use him as a wall for a control deck that isn't planning on winning early? And a finisher for the same deck? Perhaps the drawback is too severe for that (having to go an extra 5 turns trying to find a bounce spell while they can top deck Lightning Bolt for the win would be bad).

I think it's nice design but it isn't going to break the universe. Unless you can make him, donate him to your opponent, pacify him and then give him shroud as an awesome combo deck :)
Just stick him in a deck with platinum angel. for the real fun times
Then get both players to negative life and hold quicken and wrath of god. Thats the spice right there.
guys they have just spoiled on MTG salvation a 2 mana red guy that gives an oppenent creatures, not a great combo but if your butt's against the wall stopping your oppenent from winning seems rather fun
LSV bigs this card up as the most powerful WorldWake card spoiled so far that will definitely see play in the latest Magic TV.
Remind me what 'solid' role Cobra has found again?

This guy is 'okay' - kinda reminds me of Lord of Extinction - looks sick, but actually isn't.

Ps Hi Grover!

But then he is basiclly a 6/6 that makes you discard a removal spell. Which is potentially not that good. Im not saying its bad, but its gonna be overhyped like cobra then find a role that is not amazing but still solid...like cobra.

Oh, and im pretty sure the guy who won the game still wins the game if you have this out in multiplayer, because no one loses, he just wins.

I would say the drawback is closer to irrelevant than steep. Your deck will be running removal by default, a couple of extra terminates/pulses/paths isn't exactly a cost. By power creep I am talking about converted mana cost to P/T ratio and the curve getting lower.
That said Baneslayer can block this all day long... protection from Demons baby.
Cobra is in the best midrange deck in the format, Knightfall and all the close bant/naya variants. It's just a shame mid range isn't particularly good!

Lord of Extinction lacks evasion.
