Magic: the Gathering in the UK

According to the games club countdown - 20days 6hrs 1min 17secs to the pre-release and we only have 6 cards spoiled!

These include the pre-release and release card, the buy-a-box promo, an overrated figurehead planeswalker, a reprinted removal spell, and a never see construceted play GGG creature - where's this "awesome" counterspell which seems to just replace broken ambitions, or the vindicate angel?

I'm sure in comparision eventide, shards, conflux were at least 50% spolied by this point, so where's the beef?

Patience young one.

Yeah it's doing my nut in too though to be fair.
Vindicate Angel? AKA Angel of Despair?
Apparently a 6/6 angel with landfall that destroys or exiles permanents for playing land. Not sure if they return to play if the angel dies. 7CC or 8CC I think. It's only partially spoiled I think and a lot is speculation.
WotC are doing an excellent job keeping things under wraps this set (and they did much better than previously on Zendikar, if you remember)

Jason says the later spoilers come the better it is for pre-release attendance, so i can only think this is a good thing. Not long to go now. :)
oh thats all right then - my main concern was definitely the pre-release attendance!

totally disagree about it being good for wotc because the set will inevitably be completely spoiled before the pre-release by the same traders that found the treasure, it just means that 60/70 cards will be spoiled all at once instead of a steady stream of new cards each creating a buzz and therefore a snowball effect.

look how they dragged out the new jace spolier - that was before xmas, they could have released 10/15 a week since then and built up a lot of excitement

It should be worth noting at this point steve tht the worst set from any game ever for WotC was the D&D minis set which was entirely spoiled 3 months before release for various reasons. Early spoilers are bad for them.
i agree that spoiling worldwake at the zen pre-release would not make a load of sense, but considering we will have the whole new set in under 3 weeks, it surely would be better to slowly spoil the set 4/5 weeks before its out instead of in one big hit

makes me a bit concerned about the quality of the set because if it was great surely they would not be able to stop showing how good it was.

They make more money the less time people see the set before release. I could go into a long winded explanation as to why, but the short answer is the singles market ends up fucking up how much product they sell, and the less time before release the spoilers are done the less the singles market fuck sit up.
I heard this card was in it. What do you think?

Grizzly Steve
Creature
1G
B: Target match goes to time.
U: Permanently take control of target Foil an opponent controls.
Sacrifice Grizzly Steve: get disqualified from target tournament.
2/2
Thats pretty good actually. Self Dq-ing is tech.
I think you have an early mistranslated spoiler, it's actually called Grizzly Bearnstein.
lol.
