That was a noob moment. You really should have just pointed to your Teferi and gone "and this is why blue is best"

Then threatened to shank him when he tried to call a judge for you playing Teferi in your alara block draft..
Teferi actually has errata that makes him legal in all Magic: the Gathering decks.

Even draft ones from other formats.

True story!

(This is how you Q for Nats on rating, kids! Play more Teferi!)

there is one guy who hasnt been at the club for too long that me and geoff are wary of, he has fucked over gil, and double picked oring-infest in draft, he also tries to rules lawyer, and ive already told jason, ill point him out if anyone wants
It should also be mentioned that this incident occured about 9 years ago. The confronted player became a regular after it was pointed our that he was a big shit and that the Round Robin players really are playing for the fun of it.

I heard that someone in the 'Round Robin' draft was caught out and confronted after having an insane amount of on colour bombs bombs in his deck that people did not remember passing. What's the point?!
There are a number of things that are in place to reduce the opportunity to cheat whilst drafting, which are easy enough to observe whilst drafting.

Count the number of cards that you are passing and make sure you are bieing passed the same number of cards. (Hence, the count out your cards face down in x rows of y cards.) This will stop people from double picking fro ma booster.

Annouce at the start of the draft that people are not allowed to reviewing between boosters. This reduce the chance that someone can swap cards they have already drafted.

If there is an unusual selection of cards announce it when you first open the pack - for instance there duplicated commons, neither of which is a foil, if everyone gets to into the habit of announcing this then when someone gets passed a pack that hasn't been announced it can be looked into.

Remember that if you don't announce that something odd is happening and get it fixed then there's not a lot that can be done about it, but if a cheater knows that peope are on to them, they are either going to stop or get caught.

Be vigilant and shout judge if there is a problem, the judge is your friend and they are there to help you.
Judge Friend!
