Magic: the Gathering in the UK

According to my most recent e-mail from Wizards, if you play a Mirran or Phyrexian "faction" deck at the Scars Game Day, you can win a Mirrodin Beseiged preview card. While it's probably some terrible common, there's a chance it could turn out to actually be good. Therefore, I'm going to try and build a faction deck for the event. The Phyrexian one pretty much builds itself, but it seems much harder to put together a Mirran faction deck. To make sure that it qualifies as a faction deck, I only want it to iclude cards from Scars with the Mirran faction symbol (and basic lands). Is there a standard deck that can be made from this? Right now I'm looking at either green-based metalcraft or some sort of Grand Architect blue deck. Anyone have any bright ideas I can steal then claim the credit for?

The cards are Peace Strider or Pierce Strider - a 3/3 for 3 which either gains you 3 life when it ETB or loses an opponent 3 life.
This might help, was recently added to Gatherer:

And you can see the preview cards here:

Note you only need to include 10 affiliated cards, so it's not like a block deck or anything.
Kieran, playing a homebrew Standard deck, to a proper Standard tournament, for obscure and ultimately pointless reasons? Some things never change I guess.

I wonder if Kieran is the player in the world with the biggest gap between their Standard and Limited ratings. It must be at least 250 points.

Goddamnit play URW control with 8 Jaces like a man! There's even a Tier 1 deck with Pyromancer Ascension in it!!!

Calm down, dear, it's only Game Day!

At least Kieran's deviancy is now rewarded in some way?
Oh Tom, I've missed your positive attitude and promotion of my deck designs.

The last game day was won by a homebrew Standard deck. Can I repeat that feat this time? Probably not.
