Magic: the Gathering in the UK

Hi all,

I just wanted to put something out there -

If I organised this event for next year March, would enough people be interested?

3rd Place – Full set of foil Ravnica Karoo lands, foil Alara tri-lands and foil Ravnica signets

i don't quite get how the sealed works.
how do you make 16 sealed pools of 75 cards out of a 360 card cube?
+1
Excellent point -

I'll need to rethink this - it could be that each player gets a 45 card pool, but this might be too few cards to adequately build a deck. Does anyone have any experience with Cube Sealed Pools? What's the right number?

Quick Q - will you be making the cube list available beforehand for dissecting and strategising?
The Final Cube List will be released 1 week before qualifiers.

The final list will be decided upon by a 'Cube Committee', namely all of those interested in helping me fine tune the final Cube List for the Masters Series! :)

More info on this to follow next week.

Plenty of playtesting required for tuning right? ;)

< Relevant to my interests >
I've done 90 a lot and its probably too many; but it depends on the land and multicolour counts of the cube, but I reckon 80 is near to the right number

Hmm... well that would make a sealed event with a 360 card cube impossible. :(

Have you ever tried with 45?

sounds awesome! where do we sign up?
it's obviously not ideal but as this is an unsanctioned event you could make 3 proxy copies for the sealed
You could do a mini-sealed (4 boosters worth of cards, 30 card deck). I think they mentioned something about it on Magic Online a while ago, not been reading about MO for a while so don't know if they did do it or not.
