My name is philip dickinson. I am a serial whiner. I dont even pay attention to the fact that mystic is the card that makes the deck good rather than jace tms. Also, all magic players are terrible people and I am superior to them because they are nerds and im totally not.

also whilst some magic players are terrible people a lot of them are fucking sweet, if this weren't the case i prolly wouldn't have spent so much time over the last x years around them. just sayin

But you dont actually want to discuss it. You want to tell us how it is a terrible format and counterspell based control should always be the top deck in the format, and that vintage and legacy are just better in every way. While I respect that as an opinion, discussing something probably involves more developed arguments than calling everything you dislike stupid. If you like the formats so much, try to spread their popularity; im pretty sure Amar and Rick do that because they enjoy the formats, rather tahn just saying magic is bad because standard is bad.

I agree that standard is bad right now, but you are just jumping on the ban jace train because its an obvious way for you to hate on the format. Mystic is probably the card which is causing the biggest issue but banning either that or jace would give some more diversity to the format, but im pretty sure caw blade can just replace big jace with a combination of lil jace and gideon and be not that much worse. I think a good comparison would be banning cryptic command from faeries; the best 4 drop in the format makes the deck better, but actually the 2 drop (bitterblossom) was the problem card. 

 

As to the second bit whatever, but you are a bit of an ass to randoms because you presume magic player = bad...

er cool story. i don't recall ever supporting banning jace, nor disliking standard as a format. standard is normally a ton of fun, i love how [usually] the format is constantly changing from week-to-week and top tiers of the metagame are usually small enough to make meta decks fun and powerful. this season (zen-mbs) is just the least fun standard format i've ever played.

 

summary: don't ban jace, i love untapping with a jace in play. making an early jace and just +2ing until you win is prolly in my top 5 favourite ways to win now. also standard is normally great but this season sucks. fin.
