Lodestone Golem only stop non-artifact spells, can't Thom still play all his vs Tom ?

Thom, your decklist is what I was going to play! I had a Ghost Quarter instead of Misstep though after some deliberation.

EDIT: pretty sure I do kill through elixir. I do 2 a turn but Simon can only gain 5 every 3 turns. I do a net 1 damage every 3 turns against him. So that match is 1-1.

Don't I gain 5 every two turns?

You're right Simon, not sure what sort of unconventional mathematics I was doing there! I can't race Elixir after all.

Why cant i beat Karakas? I make me v phil a win for me so 12 points

Charlie - Leyline of Singularity makes Steel Overseer a Legend.

Thom v Tom is much more complicated now I know how Lodestone Golem works.

With Tom on the play, t1 Lodestone Golem, Chronomaton, t2 Tom takes 3 (17), Ravager, sac Crypt, attack for 5 (15), Attack for 7 (8), EOT charge Chronomaton (2), .. and I don't think Thom has any good blocks.

Thom on the play makes Chronomaton.  Tom makes Lodestone Golem.  Take 3 from Crypt (17), make Ravager sac Crypt, attack for 5 (15).  EOT charge Chronomaton (2).  Attack for 7 (8) - block is a draw.  EOT charge Chronamaton (3).  Can now block Ravager, charge, go to 3 but has to block Golem to stay alive rather than getting big enough to survive Golem.  Draw.

???

Oh yeah I forgot about that. My bad! You v. Thom is certainly super complicated...

if i can survive  long enough to trade with your creatures don't i then kill you with the rack?

but i'm not sure i can because i don't think i can get to 5 power in time to trade with the golem after the +1/+1 counters from ravager go on to it. so i think Tom wins 2-0

tom wins 2-0 against me

Me T1 cronomaton

tom T1 golem

Me t2 cronomaton 2/2

tom t2 ravager, sac crypt, sac ravager, make golem a 7-5  attack  Me 13

me t3 cronomaton 3/3

tom t3 attack (6)

me t4 4/4  still can't trade with golem so I die.

Wow, I totally didn't see that as an option when looking at that game! Sacrificing Ravager to itself is clearly genius!

I didn't think about sac'ing Ravager to just make Golem as big as possible.  That seems to make it 2-0 for me.

I'm very glad that I don't have to work out all the match results.
