Magic: the Gathering in the UK

Im looking at setting up my own business and will probably be needing a website. As I have practiacly no money im looking for somewhere cheap to get one, or that lets you pay in instalments.

The only problem is just because its cheap it cant be poor looking as people checking the site need to take the business seriously.

Anyone know of anywhere?

Thanks

What sector(s) are you recruiting for? as for 'cheap' website, Ben's advice is spot on. Or you could get a 'friend' who could do it for you for a short while and you take over after a few months ;-).
Basicaly im going to be recruiting recruitment consultants.

As to the getting a friend to do it that would be good if I knew anyone who knew and was willing to do it. I know a sum total of 0 about these things. What do you mean by take over? Once its set up what else needs doing?

Its gonna be interesting to see how long this takes me to get up and running since im starting with no knowledge at all. Be fun once I got it figured out though and by fun i mean money.
What I meant is websites need to be looked after, updating, that kind of things. You can sometimes get advertising on it which will give you a bit more incomes. I still haven't got a website done yet and I have been self-employ since last July, crap really. Allen L did a website for me a while back, very basic. I will talk to him and see what kind of money and skill is needed. He is on shift so whenever I see him I will ask.

Your one unavoidable cost is domain name registration. You can use someone like ukreg.com to get a .co.uk address for 3 GBP per year. .com would be 9 GBP per year.

Once you have that I'm happy to write and host a simple flat site for you with some kind of basic-but-not-ugly design (I am not particularly skilled in that area and can't guarantee beauty) at no cost. If you want it super-pretty or to have some non-basic functionality you'll have to reach in your back pocket.

Something like this:

but a bit less messy and hosted at www.garysarecruitinggenius.co.uk

What do you think?
Very funny page!!
:) Best site ever.

Thanks for the offer Tom, that would be great. Spoke to the woman last night and apparently I can leave the website for a bit till things take off so thats good news. Just need to get a phone with unlimited calls. Found a pretty decent deal with O2 for £45 per month.
