(plus events on Friday 8th also)

Assume you're all going to be there, I've taken the whole of Friday off to get the most out of the weekend. Aimign for GPTs til I get bored Fri, Main event Saturday, Vintage on both Sat and Sun unless I am still in the GP.
I hear the food options at Excel are pretty bad so bringing packed lunches is advisable? It'll be like a school trip!
Just thinking ahead, does anyone have a complete standard deck they would be willing to lend me for use in Friday's last-chance GPTs? Probably something aggressive would be best for me (Mono-R, R/B?), I will of course lend you cards/share any prizes/buy a beer or two in exchange for your generosity.

Somewhat irritating, DLR is out that weekend, going to make travel to the excel something of a hassle.
Roy
The only issue with the park idea is that the times of play seem to be between 5 and 8 on the friday so we would need flood lights (this is causing some problems to be honest)
real? how do you even get to the excel if the dlr is out

Are you kidding?!
Thanks for the warning Max, this is going to be an unreal hassle now...
I will send you an invite to the facebook group, can you post details on there please

Glen, the park has AstroTurf and lights! :D
I have some spare bits of R/X decks if you still need anything. I'm also wondering if anyone has floor space/a sofa I could crash on for the weekend. I can and will sleep just about anywhere.
Checked the walk on google maps, does seem reasonable. The option TFL website was suggesting was taking the cable car from North Greenwich which, while cool, is not what you want to try for the first time in a rush.

I can guide people from canning town station. It's a ten min walk.
the old holiday in your own city special, I think I am just gonna stay at home even though it is about an hour and half jaunt, I just don't there's a better alternative that doesn't cost loads

Despite living in London, I'm seriously considering just staying in a hotel on the Friday & Saturday nights so that I don't have to travel for 4 hours a day. It would be no more expensive than going to another city for a GP, would be far more convenient, and would make me feel a bit like being on holiday. Clearly it's a great idea.
