Magic: the Gathering in the UK

Due to the global changes made to the Wizards Play Network (WPN) introduced by Wizards of the Coast in September of last year we regret to have  to annouce that The Games Club will not be participating in the New Set Celebrations for the impending Magic 2012 Core Set.

WTF.  So bad.

Is there some alternative for wannabe prereleasers?

Doors Open at 10 am for 11 am start.

Details are on www.GordianKnotGames.co.uk/prerelease.html

I feel dirty- I've prereg'd for the dark sphere one. Not sure if I'll go or not.
Dont go, the venue is tiny and they make you go down to the pub as they wont let you use their toilet.

It sucks that TGC doesn't have a pre-release.

However [/plug mode]I heard Gravesend is the place to be on Sunday, nice venue, good friendly people and good food. Plus Beyonce may or may not be there.

If any of you want picking up from Gravesend Station as you are too lazy to walk 5 minutes to the venue as I pass it about 10am then that can be arranged.

Dan B, if you are coming bring your Scrabble set!

Mark

Pfft, what's the point of taking the train when you can just drive!

[Shameful plug]There is a really good Sunday one is Gravesend I've heard.

High Speed rail link puts you a few minutes walk from the venue :-) [/shameful plug]

Cool, pencil me in

Hi guys,

Just to correct a couple of factual errors on your posts. Our pre-release is not in the shop, it was originally going to be in the Punch Tavern both days but the Saturday venue has now changed to:

The Main Hall
London Nautical School
61 Stamford Street
London
SE1 9NA
Which will have capacity and product for 100+ players  :)
Kind regards,
The Dark Sphere Team

I checked the postcode on Google Maps, its south of the river, right?

What time does Two Headed Giant start?

Hi Simon,

It's just South of the river (near the OXO tower, Waterloo station, Imax, etc).  The 2HG side event will kick off approximately 4pm
