Also I would probably consider some number of Whipflare.

I'd cut some of the permission and play some number of Pillar of Flame and possibly Whipflare over/as well as Slagstorm. Or you could cut all the permission and have some Timely Reinforcements main?

This deck can't beat UB control or delver, this format is all about tempo mana leak > snapcaster > mana leak is back breaking for a deck like this. Also, 1 Giestflame instead of pillar or galvanic blast just seems silly.

Er, no.

Plenty of removal.

I dont mind paying 2 mana for a wrath instead of 1.

Perhaps could cut 1 or 2 counter spells. Im not buying the myth that Cavern of Souls is gonna ruin counters, still plenty of stuff to counter.

Whipflare may be better than slagstorn, easier on the mana. I think the reason I picked Slagstorm as it can hit players/planeswalkers as well but not sure how relevant that is.

The geistflame is there as a muti purpose card. It hits a non flipped Delver, hits Nexus, hits Thalia/Snapcaster etc, etc.

I can see there are a lot of times its not good but thats why there is just 1, you can discard it if not needed.

Also can you explain how it can not beat delver? Talk me through it.

What would you do to improve control match ups? How many threats does a control deck normally have?
