How about a cube that only contains creatures?
I dont normally like to tell people that they are wrong....but you just plain dont get the point. We have a reasonable cube (mine/warren's) for normal cube drafting...
Oh Charlie. You aren't exactly helpful!
*I* don't get the point, or one of the repliers? In what way does said person not get the point? What information could we give to said person so that point became clear to them? Or is the point not something one can communicate in words but only something one can come to in a zen-like state after many hours of introspective meditation on the nature of cube?
Assuming you mean me, which is not at all clear from your snappy little post, not getting the point is the entire point (pun intended) of this thread! I've made several cubes both online (Pauper, One Drops Only) and offline (Complex Rules Text, Teachings). They have been of varying success (quite cool, pretty bad, pretty much very bad and really great, respectively). But I'm sure there's plenty I don't know about making a cube.
So, what don't I know? Or did I misunderstand your post?
Aside: I'm using cube here to mean 360-720 cards from the history of Magic (or even self-invented) that it's fun to draft rather than "the cube" ... some holy set of 360 cards that are "the" cards to have in a cube draft. Perhaps it's just that we have a difference in terminology? I'm not that interested in making just "great cards cube" as a bunch of folks have that already. Although I did think about making great-but-also-massively-expensive cards cube to use that idea but with a twist that isn't possible if you need to actually buy all the cards.
(Here a few paragraphs on how creative success can only occur if you allow yourself to fail.)
Grr.
