Looks like they've really learnt from the wooly non-information of the last announcements.  Now we have colour-coded graphics!

I like how they've removed the ability to grind Planeswalker Points to get on the pro tour, and the reintroduction of a Worlds-like event is great news too.

One option to 'keep' Nats is to have all 3 qualifier tournaments in one location over 3 successive days. So essentially it is another 3 day Nats.

This means you get lots of players, good side events and the Nats atmosphere. 

Worth asking the organisers I suppose.

@Dan - there's a link in the article to the Premier Event Invitation Policy, which lists the thresholds for different countries.  They fall into brackets of 50, 100, 200, and 300, based I'm guessing loosely on player populations etc.

@Amar / Nats Discussion - I agree that just because these are the events that feed into a Worlds doesn't mean we couldn't organise a Nats anyway.  But without more ideas on the timing of things and so on it is hard to say.

honestly, I'm pretty sad they wouldn't have an actual team event except for the world cup
