Only in Kickstarter phase so far, but purports to be free to play entirely if you want, but hints at the ability to buy 'boosters'. Might be worth keeping an eye on.

The $100 package grants "$100 in store credit to kick-start your collection", so not entirely sure how the system will work.

this soulds a lot like shadow era on the Ipad, you can play for free but if you want to get ahead in the multiplayer you need to spend money.

It's basically the same model as League of Legends, Rage of Bahamut, lots of other "F2P" games - you can play for free, but to be anywhere near competitive, you gotta drop a decent amount of cash on it.

My issue is them saying it will change the face of gaming, me thinks not

fwiw league of legends doesn't require spending money to be competitive - the only things you can really buy with real money are cosmetic changes (skins etc)
