Colchester PTQ - Discounted prereg price until 27th Nov

Undoubtedly you've seen XtremeTrades XCON event coming up on the 1st Dec.  The PTQ is sealed and the prize support is cool (Kindles for 2nd - 4th, £100 credit for 5th-8th).  However you do pay for it in the entry price.  On the day it's a whopping £39, but if you prereg before 27th Nov it's a more palatable £32:

if anyone needs a place to crash (there are fairly regular trains) I have plenty of floor space, couch has already been taken I'm afraid.  There is tonnes of stuff going on Sat and Sun

ah yes, you certainly do "pay for it in the entry price" with this tournament which is only £2 more than its competitors ben :p

What tournaments do you go to that cost £37??  If you are referring to the £32 price then yeah I agree that's why I'm reminding people to do it.

the problem with complaining about the price is you still pay it, if nobody paid then they would have to look at it.  PTQ's are bigger than ever right now, they will again hike up the price and it won't make any difference.

I can make this point as I haven't played a ptq since they put up the price

At least this tournament has SICK prizes though!

Last season all TOs were charging £20 for constructed, but some were doing it with 4 boosters/player and others at 2... Gougey gougey!

Anyone staying over Saturday night or coming back the next day?

I see a nearby Premier Inn that's 67 quid for the Saturday night.

Train out of Liverpool Street is 22 quid (or 9 quid? if you book specific seats in advance).
