Time Sieve in Extended?!

In the spirit of janky Tier 3 decks, could Time Sieve be any good in Extended?

There are a couple of spicey cards (aside from the obvobv cards) that are up for consideration:

Chrome Mox
Terrarion
Chalice of the void
walking archive
Signets
Mana leak / Remand / Delay
Cryptic Command
Thirst for Knowledge
Engineered Explosives
Academy Ruins (the spice!)
Timestop

Also, Ethersworn Cannonist seems some good.

The core cards for the combo are:

Time Sieve
Open the Vaults
Time Warp
Tezzerret
Kaleidostone & Elsewhere flask
Howling Mine

I can't justify why the deck would be good in Extended, other than people wouldn't know WTF you were doing playing with this jank, and might lose to it.

If I were you I would start with the old Second Sunrise/Egg decks as a base (Sunrise is certainly a lot cheaper than Vaults.)

Nicolo from MK played this at a couple of PTQs last year, he might have some spice for the deck/interest in carrying this on.

Yeah, I have eggs built without eggs.... it is pretty inconsistant though and takes about half hour to combo off. A few cards to consider from it:

Reshape
Lotus Bloom
Sencond Sunrise
Chromatic Star (best target for Reshape)
Reclaim (Seems ok with time warp?/Second Sunrise)

Sword/Thopter is also easily hybridised with Depths, I believe (usually with Gifts in the mix). Partly because Muddle transmutes for Sword, Thopter and Hexmage.

Sorry Tom, which sword and which Thopter has converted mana of 2? First time I heard of this deck, how does this Sword/Thorpter deck work?
