From Mirrodin Besiged onwards the pack order for drafting is going to start with the most recent set. Olde draft formats will stay in their historic order.

For example, if you run an event with 2 boosters of Scars of Mirrodin and 1 booster of Mirrodin Besieged, players will open the packs in the order Mirrodin Besieged / Scars of Mirrodin / Scars of Mirrodin. When the set codenamed "Action" is released, the draft order will be "Action" / Mirrodin Besieged / Scars of Mirrodin.

I really like this change.  It is going to make the small sets a lot more releavnt.

The problem with your supply and demand argument Gary, is that as long as some other people are willing to pay 70, your refusal to cough up means nothing - it only works if everyone is on board, which simply won't happen.

However, re: cheap budget decks, how about these top 8 states decks, eh?

4 Goblin Guide
3 Plated Geopede
3 Burst Lightning
3 Mark of Mutiny
4 Zektar Shrine Expedition

4 Scalding Tarn
4 Arid Mesa

Sideboard
3 Brittle Effigy
3 Kargan Dragonlord
4 Koth of the Hammer

4 Stoneforge Mystic

I actually really wanted to play the WW deck also I wanted to play Elves last weekend both of which aren't hugely expensive.
Well than, what are you whinging about?

I'd agree with you if these decks weren't at all competitive, but it seems they are.

Can't you read?

These two deck don't hide from the fact that if I decided to play a decent blue deck or aggressive non elf Green deck I would still have to shell out a shit load of money to get the cards.

Suggesting two fringe decks isn't going to change my mind about this and especially when Standard doesn't even matter at the moment.

It would do if we have a good tournament scene like they do in America - we don't even get champs anymore.

It does suck that everyone seems uninterested in standard round here, as it is def my fave format most of the time.
There is no incentive to play standard until National Q's and the standard PTQ season rolls around.

Spending £300 on cards for tournaments that aren't happening is fun?

No one said to spend £300, play a budget deck and have fun. As the tournaments are not immportant its a good chance just to play and chill and have a good time.
Drafting Cube is more fun
