From Aaron Forsythe on Twitter:
".@PVDDR There will be at least one team event on the GP calendar at some point in 2012 so long as I have anything to do with it."
If there is one in Europe, I think this will probably be the event I most want to play in next year.
I remember starting a discussion at the Southampton NQ about who we'd team up with if/when team events returned, so let's revive that now it's actually relevant:
- Who would you want as your two team mates?
- What would be the best* London/UK/world team?
(* = most fun? best chance to win? best looking?)

This, plus getting married this year, and needing two weeks vacation for honeymoon meant I was not in a position to go to nationals this year. With the demise of rating and introduction of planeswalker points, I don't even know how to qualify for nationals anymore :-)
Glenn, Tim, and I used to team; that was good times.
I've done plenty of team drafts with Moore and they have always been great fun. Back in the day there were some really good teams. Moore and Gomersall anchored a few good ones, the Ronaldsons + Ormerod were great. Then there were some legendary dodgy teams too. Glenn may remember Stowers, Twitchen, and Ioannis...

Simon
I think if Tim is not working we should definately revisit that team we were the spice

EDIT:
@Simon
play a nationals qualifier? it is the uk... :P
also, belated congrats on getting married! away from the uk for 2 years etc.
EDIT:
@Everyone else
team rochester is honestly one of the best formats ever, its a draft format
where you get to see your opponent's cards and draft to beat your opponent
(ok this doesn't sound THAT fun). However, in team rochester, you have to
do it for 3 decks at the SAME TIME, whilst hating cards that would be good
against your team. Also, because more packs are opened per side, there is less
variance than in a normal draft, and the chance of being outopened so much
that you can't win is much lower..... we should play it some time....
Nats next year? I'm accumulating useless chinese scars of mirrodin block
boosters at an alarming rate (I have 2x complete 8 player draft sets.... I
had 12 [2 team draft]) to take to Chinese nats but noone plays team draft
in China.... they just OPEN boosters....
I know you guys don't remember... but I was actually PLAYING REGULARLY
when Sam and Omerod were still in the uk :P
I lost to Sam for 4 years non stop. I think the first time I won was triple
Mirrodin when I got 3 shatter, 2 bolt and 3 sceptres :P
I feel the love man, unfortunately I'm not sure many people would agree with you.
Obv Phil as the third team member.

Somewhat ironically, I think being friends with so many people would actually make finding team mates quite difficult for me, as I'm not part of an "obvious" trio.
Would probably like being with Mills + someone else. He's better than most people give him credit for, and win or lose I know we'd have a lot of fun.
Also enjoyed that 2HG I did with Phil - Team New Era?
Unified constructed standard seems most likely. Or possibly sealed? Guess that wouldn't work for day two, though.
Or possibly... each team member plays a different format (standard/modern/legacy) much like at Worlds*? And the winning GP team Qs themselves for Worlds 2012 - would be a very attractive prize!
* = Splitting up like this also ensures lots of future-relevant decklists, which people love.
if anybody of you guys would actually tell me I was WRONG and STUPID for liking a particular deck using logical reasoning (i.e. no "don't play Eldrazi Green, its just worse than valakut because this is what ppl keep telling me"). I wouldn't play bad decks. The reason I played OTV at nats that year was because I was unsure of the deck, and after play 8 games vs Marco with Jund where I went 7-1 he managed to convince me the deck was not terrible. In that t2 jund was just oppressive, so I only wanted to play a deck that beat jund....
I think you were right and we were wrong about Eldrazi Green.
Other times...
