The format we have chosen is £40 for the following unsanctioned draft:

1x Futuresight
1x Alliances

PACK 3 (randomly picked)
4x The Dark + Fallen Empires
1x Legends
2x Antiquities + Fallen Empires
1x Arabian Nights + Fallen Empires

Think about it though. The possibilities are pretty staggering for your £40:
- 8x dual land
- Library of Alexandria
- Bazaar of Baghdad
- Mana Drain
- Moat
- Karakas
- Tabernacle
- 2x Mishra's Workshop
- 2x Mishra's Factory
- 2x Strip Mine
- 2x Candelabra (and Trike, for that matter) 
- Yawgmoth's Will (plus a hojillion other Urza's goodies)
- Lion's Eye Diamond
- Maze of Ith
- Force Of Will
- Tarmogoyf
- Wasteland
... and let's not forget Thrull Champion. And so much more!

When was it first advertised?

I must have missed it.

Not to throw a spanner in the works, but for a total of £320 you could all open nothing?

Also I would suggest swapping pack 2 and pack 3 order!

This was posted on the Legacy forum first then I posted it here. Agreed you could open nothing but we have 8 people, including myself, willing to do it.

We are paying £40 because the booster prices are very high but in the end you can pay £30 for a sealed pool and still open nothing - you are paying to have fun, have the chance to open something fantastic and because it is quite a rare opportunity to do something like this.

I thought this was going to be about something else we have sort of discussed recently, Amar - pre-arranging an 8-man draft pod before going to TGC to draft, as sometimes the standard (of play and banter) is very low.

I mean, I'm far from good, but when I need to tell a guy to not play 3 hunter's feast, or to play 17 and not 12 lands in an average M11 draft deck, you have to question the value of the experience...

Agreed - we could start something of this sort on a Monday were we create our own pod of 8 and draft.

Is that the best price you can get? Have you got the boosters yet?

I'm not buying the boosters or organising this draft so I can't let you know about the price. But I think the boosters have been ordered already.
Currently there is 1 person on the reserve list (in addition to the 8 in the draft) willing to pay £40 so I guess the price isn't going any lower.

I'd definately be up for something like this - you only get better if you draft with people who are better than you! Plus it might help increase the Monday turn-out, which is pitiful at best.
