Magic: the Gathering in the UK

So I have built a (very) budget mono white ally deck. Just thought I would start out small before shelling out on the more expensive cards.

Have seen slightly more expensive builds doing well in the daily events and also U/W versions and even a G/W version. Didn't want to splah out on duals and sac lands untill I knew I wanted to play it.

Stepp lynx has been pretty weak for me so far, obviously it will get better with sac lands but he doesn't have any synergy with the deck in general. Perhaps he is still neccessary as an early drop but I'm thinking of cutting him.

I seem to be able to get in some early damage but then seem to fail in the mid-late game.

Not sure what is the best approch to improve the deck.

One idea is to go 2 colour so I get man lands and possibly some better threats. Another is to add dread statuary to the deck so I can still be consistant mono colour.

Other possibilities include adding some sort of stoneforge mystic package to make each ondividual threat more powerful. The last one is to possibilly run 3 colours. G/W/b gets you a set of man lands and you can probably still have a good mana base as you get 8 sac lands to fetch your black mana. Still not sure what adding black can do as it's early days yet.

If anyone has suggestions I would love to hear them.

I hear R/W is quite a good build. You don't get manlands unfortunately, but Arid Mesa makes Steppe Lynx better and Akoum Battleslinger is pretty nuts.
If R/W, would Plated Geopede be a good alternative?
Geopede sounds alright. Also you should only be playing steppe lynx with fetches.

Sounds like a different deck. I actually wanted to play allies. Red just makes you boros and I don't think the red ally is good enough

Jwari Shapshifter + Cancel + Celestial Colonnade = Bonus?
Not sure Celestial Colonnade is exacly budget, though if you play Blue you can kick Rite of Replication - which is pretty sick on a Halimar Excavator I hear....

The more I think about this the more I like it. The only disadvantage being that Rite costs 10 to kick. I'm going to have to build a deck now based on this 2-card game-winning combo! The only question is whether I want to play W/U allies with the combo, U/G allies for acceleration but less aggression, or U/x control with everflowing chalice that just uses the combo as a win condition.

If you're aiming to mill people out, I would suggest UWG for, respectively, Rite+Excavator, Join the Ranks and Harabaz Druid.
Gary, i have 3 Harabaz druids iff you want to buy them off me to scan them in?
