Must be Extended right?

Well that's my vote anyway...

or EDH perhaps? :D
Extended already looks kinda boring, sadly, after playing a load of games with proxy decks the other day.

Maybe vintage?

Or some made-up format?
Should definately be EDH. Especially as I went to the trouble of posting the rules up!
Vintage sounds good.

Just remember there isnt a banned list ok :)
I won't be playing in it but: Build your own block / standard?
I'm happy to organize whatever people want to play. We could even run two leagues simultaneously as an experiment to see if that works?

One thing I think I almost definitely want to do is scrap the entry fee and just play for glory. Interested in opinions on that. (The reason is just the pain of admin of collecting the entries and then distributing the prizes - plus I will be in the US for Dec/Jan/Feb).

There was some interest in doing Extended. But the triumph of Baneslayer Zoo might have put everyone off that idea?

I'm not really sure if an EDH League in the manner of the previous leagues makes any kind of sense. After all you're supposed to make a crap deck on purpose and only win on Turn 378 using a combo revolving around Ishi-Ishi, Akki Crackshot. We could, however, organize some kind of bonus-points-for-doing-stupid-things (possibly multiplayer) league? Or do people actually want to play competitive EDH where you take a Spike look at an otherwise casual format?

I really like the idea of Build Your Own Block. Although the prospect of netdecking still looms large even in a strange format like that because it's been done before on Magic League (and at the Inviational?) Perhaps we should find something like that, but not actually that, forcing players to create their own decks. Possibly the sets are chosen for you at random, or everyone submits a byo-block and those blocks are then randomly assigned to participants, or you can only use cards whose names that start with the letter of your choice (most cards = 'S' with 1515), or ...

Let me know what you think.
I've got an idea for a crazy format, how about Singleton standard or extended? 60 card deck with a maximum of one of each card from the chosen card pool. It gives us EDH nuts a bit of a kick, whilst maintaining a competitive format, that's unlikely to be netdeckable. I say unlikely as someone will inevitably quote this message, posting a link....
I was going to suggest singleton vintage, and thought i was being stupid.

Glad to see i'm not. :D

I vote extended as it is the next ptq format after the current sealed ptq's
