Magic: the Gathering in the UK

with all this serious Judge rubbish going on I though we should mention the reason they are even involved, tell us your best stories of general cheating, bending the rules or even just straight up shenanigans you've ever witnessed. Just trying to lighten the mood a little

Mine would be a guy in a draft of shards block sitting on Nick Taylors left, played him in round 2 and played 5 rares, at the end of the match Nick called a judge as Nick had 4 rares and thought it strange that a) none were foil and b) he certainly didn't pass some of the booms, after a quick count up around the players it turned out that there were 13 rares out of the 8 boosters. He has since left the country (probably not for this reason)

I would complain at the noises myself not the chat.
I am still loving the core set shatter so far - the man is a genius
Jason 'Jedi mind tricked' me into playing 2 akroma's when i was going to win a constructed game and Gary is famous for playing double legends - esp. Hakkon
Alan, i've seen the same thing with Planeswalkers quite a bit. At an MK FNM, when i was tapped out playing 5cc:

Opp: Haha, you're totally screwed now! Another Sarkhan Vol!
Me: Sure, resolves... Legend rule?
Opp: Oh, crap... *puts them both in bin* *attacks for less than lethal*
Me: *Untap, Wrath. Mana up to gain 5 with obelisk, and for cryptic*
The greatest play I have EVER seen in my life was at a standard ptq when Phage was about (no idea what set), he went turn 1 skip my land drop discard Phage turn 2 reanimate it, I read the card offer the handshake and pointed out that he lost the game (Phage can only be played from your hand otherwise it's gg's)
see - you are all Jedi's and you didn't even know it....
I remember drafting with gary after the main event had finished, I think with my brothers box of MD5. At the start of round 1, he picks up the Korlash he had on the table (it had just been a block PTQ), and says: "Im starting with this korlash in play. sucks to be you". his opponent (maybe simon?) goes: "sure, check state based effects. Nice korlash". Self owned.
I call dibs on best jedi mind trick :D

i was playing modo with yoshi, during his opponents 2nd turn i asked him if he had ever timewalked himself on t2 with the f6 button before, and he said "im not an idiot"

timewalk obv

i am a spaz (prob) - what does this mean?
timewalk obv
f6 is a shortcut key on Magic Online that says "I don't want to do anything else this turn don't ask me".

Time Walk is a card from Alpha that says: "Take an extra turn after this one."

So pressing f6 at the beginning of your Turn 2 stops you from doing anything and sends it back to your opponent's turn rather like they had just cast Time Walk (for no mana and no card).

(Oh, and "obv" is short for "obviously", in case that was what you were asking.)
you are clearly the master man - I tip my hat to you sir
I shuffled my hand into my library in Game 3 of a PTQ final.
