Magic: the Gathering in the UK

I received a LOAD of product* for a new trading card board game, "X610z" from the game's designer to review and give feedback on, but need some other interested people to give it a spin with me for 2-3 hours in the next month sometime.

I've not read the rules in detail yet (see link above), however from the look of it a lot of the mechanics are similar to Magic (energy crystals=lands, summons=creatures), only your "summons" are also represented on a game board by plastic pieces, which you move around to do stuff. Oh, and it has a futuristic space theme.

Anyone up for it?

(* = 2 player starter box, 4 more starter decks with game pieces, and 2 booster boxes - If you give it a go with me, you can keep some of it for future)

PS: Apparently you can draft it!

Hi,

I would be interested, not sure when I am free. Too many events at the moment.

Jason

Bring it on the 16th April!

Oh, there are some pretty neat cards in this:

- A random discard for 1

- A counterspell for U that bounces countered card back to it's owners hand, with kicker 2: counter it properly.

- 1U: swap a non-creature permanent an opponent controls of your choice with one you control of their choice.

- Some kind of instant-speed Mindslaver for lands.

Bring it to Richmond
Looks interesting. Count me in for a playtest sometime
Yeah looks like fun, count me in

Reviewing the first expansion spoiler, I see a High Tide effect, Timetwister, 1: draw 2 discard 1, a dark ritual, and an enchantment that lets you draw 3 discard 2 for your draw step.

Clearly going to be some ridiculous combo deck in here somewhere.

Happy to have a test of it, plus depending on how much the moving of peices on the board matters I have experience with other minis games to compare it to :)
i'm so up for this. can hopefully provide some good comparisons to existing or prior products [i used to work in a games shop]
Resurrecting this thread as we have lots of bank holiday days coming up - anyone want to play for a bit at my house (in the garden, even!) or maybe the pub in Holborn soon?

what about trying it out either Sat or thursday?

Yea maybe!
