Philosophy of Blue

Counterspells, card draw, control effects and control magic - what Blue does best! Blue needs to form the foundation of control archetypes by offering enough 'control cards' for multiple control drafters, while providing powerful splash effects for other strategies (ie Gifts Ungiven).

I think you may have more counterspells in your 360 card cube than I have in my 600 odd card cube :-)

All these cards seem good, but then again it is blue. Palinchron may be kind of iffy, as he only really shines when you can break him (Wake, bouncelands, Sneak Attack, etc...)

You'll have to remind me what Gifts Given does but I thought it gave your opponent cards?

Gifts Given U3

Instant

Search target opponent's library for four cards with different names and reveal them. That opponent chooses two of those cards. Put the chosen cards into their graveyard and the rest into your hand. That player shuffles his or her library afterwards.

:D:D

I think this section looks pretty good. Two notable exclusions are Fact or Fiction and Impulse. I'm guessing FoF is just an oversight. Impulse is pretty important for any combo-ish strategy, and in general very good.

Upheaval is another card that might be worth considering, though it depends a little on how much artifact mana you end up running.

You could probably fit in a Tinker/Inkwell Leviathan package if you wanted.

As far as creatures, it's true that blue won't have a ton, but I think you could fit in a few more. Kira, Great Glass-Spinner has been fantastic for me, and Thieving Magpie/Lu-Xun are also very good. I think any of those is better than Jushi Apprentice, for example.

To make room, I think Dismiss could go, along with a conditional counter, and sadly maybe Gifts Given- it might be too problematic to put someone else's cards in your hand in a competitive event. Consecrated Sphinx is a cool card, but there likely isn't room for it at 360.

The only other thing that I can think of to include is Future Sight, but there may not be room at this size.

Good point on Fact or Fiction and Gifts Given. Swapped out respectively!

Jushi apprentice has become far too slow. I'd rather run trinket mage, especially as this is a power cube, or maybe Kira, Glass spinner who is actually a huge beating. You could also run vesuvan shapeshifter in this slot if you feel like cheating him into the cube, as he is real good.

Keiga might be bad due to all the RFG removal thats been printed recently. I really like Sphinx of Jwar isle as a blue finisher, though whether over frost titan or keiga I dont really know.
