I have got an idea for a an extended deck and I wanted some input

1 Seat of the Synod
1 Black artifact land
1 Island
1 Swamp
1 Forest

Seems like it needs more thirst for knowledge.

Haven't worked out a sideboard yet.

The combo is neat, but i dont think its good given that PTE is the best removal in yet another format. Alternately, if you can fit it in a more controlly shell, gifts in a UGB htis you urborg, life from the loam, crime, and worm harvest. Which is the utter nuts against control, and quick 20/20's are fair good against zoo.

A couple ideas -

1 of Chalice and/or Tormod's Crypt/Relic of Progenitus to fight Hypergenesis/Dredge pre-board?

1 of off-colour rav dual just in case you need to EE for 4?

And probs only need 3 of each of the combo pieces.

1. both reasonable ideas, although chalice is a shit draw in other matchups. Relic probs > crypt
2. F-off. If your casting EE for 4 in ext something is wrong
3. Meh, I like UGB aggro without the combo, but if your running it at all you need a 4/4 split or a way to tutor.

1 crypt/Relic main to get with Trinket Mage doesn't sound terrible.

I did think about gifts and it seems like it could work. If I played a gifts version of the deck I could easily gifts for Hexmage/DD/Replenish/Grim Discovery.

Incidently the legacy version of the deck runs crucible and grim discovery which seems like it works against the hate.

Maybe I should cut the green altogether.

Also I have the Exploration Map to tutor for DD but can't think of anything to tutor for the hexmage except Muddle the Mixture.

Gifts into grim discovery, dark depths, vampire, and witness gets the combo. Control engine around that obv :P

I only say it cuz the Fae decks from last year sometimes had lands such that EE for 4 or even 5 was possible

On that front, surely an Academy Ruins to recur it?

This season - Baneslayer Angel. Hey, if it's playable in Legacy, it's probably playable in Extended ...
