Terrible.
Got paired against Glenn playing my worst matchup in round 1 of what was essentially a single-elim tournament.
I ran the same list that Martin Scheinin ran at GP Barcelona except I played the full 4 Inquisition and 1 duress main and took out the Ratchet bombs from the sideboard and replaced the with another duress and a Doom blade.
Also, Louis and Paul Young q'd too so a good day all round for London players!
Dropped at 0-3 in the GPT, but then played ascension for a few hours so it wasn't a total write off.
I missed out on the top 8 of the GPT by 0.5% on my tiebreakers
ended up in 9th!
:-(
I opened a bad pool and then managed to miss build it as well. In all fairness even if I had built it right I dont think i could have manged 4-1-1.
Did give me plenty to think about though, I definatly am out of practise with sealed.
Tar Pit works ok as long as your opponents don't fateseal Jace, suiting one up with Sword is also good. Running the Tezzeret package does allow your Inkmoths to bash in for 5 although probably better to give your opp 5 poison rather that kill Jace. Maybe Volition Reins in the SB, or running spell pierce might help against a heavy PW field.
What were the bad matchups btw? I was worried about facing down Gideon more than Jace, Koth isn't too bad as Crusader just crushes. Elspeth Tirel seems fine too, her dudes aren't relevant against Crusader + Nexus and neither is the lifegain.

I managed the highly impressive 3-2 and barely made a decision all day, games I lost I was smashed and the games I won was basically a steam roller, think I will have to play a control deck next week as there doesn't seem to be enough creature decks out there for the poison deck to abuse properly. Suggestions for changing the deck to be able to kill plainswalkers better would be much help
