Due to the global changes made to the Wizards Play Network (WPN) introduced by Wizards of the Coast in September of last year we regret to have to annouce that The Games Club will not be participating in the New Set Celebrations for the impending Magic 2012 Core Set. |
WTF. So bad.
Is there some alternative for wannabe prereleasers?

What would be the best substitute?
Trying to have a big room full of magic on the same day as the pre release but without new cards.
Or
Having a Postrelease a week later instead?
has the games club even got a event release party for M12? its usually the week after, i cant seem to find it on their site.
An unofficial release party surely must happen - don't really care about the release card so it makes no difference if it's an official release party or not.
There must be a decent Saturday prerelease near enough to London to actually get to. As opposed to the other London ones where attendance would be morally wrong!
get your arse up to colchester (xtreme trades, an hours train from Liv st), after the event there will be in town beer and shenanigans

[Shameful plug]There is a really good Sunday one is Gravesend I've heard.
High Speed rail link puts you a few minutes walk from the venue :-) [/shameful plug]
Apparently there is going to be one on Sat 9th run by Heroes and Legends Games in Surbiton (who I'd never previously heard of) at Our Lady Immaculate church hall, apparently with space and product for 140. Their facebook page is here http://www.facebook.com/pages/Heroes-and-Legends-Games/162981170405...
